I love the song and I love the two old fogeys doing it.
I can't find the original Merle Haggard version, so Elvis will have to suffice.
Here are a couple of lovely sad songs written by the late Gram Parsons and performed by Elvis Costello on his 1981 Almost Blue. This was the album where Elvis embraced his country influences. There are a couple of George Jones songs, Patsy Cline's "Sweet Dreams," and Hank Williams "Why Don't You Love Me Like You Used To Do." If you like a little Elvis on your country, or vice versa, you should give a listen.
