mp3eme VOX: Your 1st Time
Post a song from the band/artist that played the first concert you ever attended.
When I went to my first concert, sound recordings were still produced by pterodactyl beaks engraving on clay cylinders. Extant recordings from this period are rare and generally found only in the great history museums of Europe.

Looking back at those simpler times, my memories diffuse into a haze that obscures fine detail. After a bit of verification, I still don't know EXACTLY what my first concert was, but we have narrowed it down to two possibiities.
(DO NOT LAUGH AT ME. RIDICULING THE ELDERLY IS TOO EASY, JUST PLAIN WRONG, AND BENEATH YOUR DIGNITY. DO NOT MOCK OR DERIDE ME.)
Possibility one: Seals & Crofts opening for Cat Stevens (pre-Yusuf Islam)
Possibility two: Bob Seger opening for the Doobie Brothers (pre-Michael McDonald.)
(REMEMBER WHAT I SAID ABOUT MOCKING OLD PEOPLE???)
I remember that the first time I wanted to see Kiss my mother drew a line in the sand. Further, I remember that a couple of years later when I had an opportunity to see them I did not even RiSK getting shut down. I had by then gotten the taste for the live arena rock and I planned an elaborate and risky ruse with my friend P whereby we were allegedly at "the movies." I mostly remember flames, dry ice, a tongue, and platform boots. And that they ROCKED!
Am I still writing? Have I not gotten to he point yet? Well, I still can't remember which I saw first: Equinox-period Styx OR Toys-in-the-Attic-period Aerosmith. They were probably the same summer. And that summer was, suffice to say, long ago.
Having said all that, these two songs are the closest I can find in my iTunes:
Mr. Roboto from a little later in the Styx repertoire AND R.E.M. covering Toys in the Attic.
Now, you: Post a song from the band/artist that played the first concert you ever attended
