Mp3eme VOX: What's in a name, Robyn?

Bravo! (And pleased to discover it doesn't tread on either of my remaining two excursions. Well, maybe "Ted, Woody, and Junior" did a little.)

P.S. I've had Vox refuse to save some of my huge music posts as well.
You should totally include TW&J if it fits your thesis. EVERYBODY should have that song on their blog!

If you listen to the banter at the end of the live Give Me A Spanner you will hear his intro to TW&J.

I still don't understand why some of my images wouldn't load while others from the same bunch did. The angels mar the elegance of my work. =[
I've got a live show of Robyn Hitchcock performing Sgt. Pepper's, so you can add, "Lucy in the Sky with DIamonds", "Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite", and "Lovely Rita".
Oh, man. I found that show and downloaded it, but it's a flac file and therefore useless on a Mac. Hmmm... I need to investigate this further. Thnx for reminding me!

I'm a casual Robyn Hitchcock fan and I've been frustrated that so much of his discography is out-of-print. I never have been able to track down an official copy of my favorite, I Often Dream of Trains. Your post inspired me to run an Amazon search. I was happy and excited to find out that I Often Dream of Trains is scheduled for reissue on 10/16. There's also a 5 disc box set scheduled for release on the same day.

Yup.
I've already ordered and I caved in and got both the cd and the vinyl boxes. I'm a little ashamed of myself, but also inordinately proud. =D
And Ugly Nora and Sandra's Having Her Brain Out. And the recently added Grooving On An Inner plane. Still can't find Can o' Bees and Globe o' Frog but my house has been needing a good cleaning.
Do we put our entries on our own vox or here?? I think I know a song with the most names in it ;) I wanna play....

OR
If you don't want to get mixed up with our motley meme crew, I'd totally understand.
I think it looks like great fun :D Your music posts practically FORCED me to add you ;)
As luck would have it, I just had occasion to research how to turn .flac files into CDs, and from there into mp3s using OSX. Still need to figure it out? This is the tutorial I used, but its link to xACT was woefully out of date, so I think I got it at download.com or something. From there, I actually didn't follow the instructions, but instead decoded to AIFF, burned a CD off those, then stuck the CD into the drive and let iTunes rip it. In my case, it had the advantage of looking up all the CDDB info on the tracks so I didn't have to re-enter it, but I'm not sure if that'll matter so much for a bootleg. Anyway, if you need further instructions, drop me a line.
4ever indebted, sir.
P.S. I have been dying to come up with an excuse to post "The Canopener" since about the first day I signed up on Vox. See to it.
Wendy and the Can Opener await your inspection.

I forgot to tell you how awesome this is, BTW! I think the Hoodoo Gurus sang a song about Gene Hackman when I saw them recently...
Who knew that "the Hack" was such a hot topic???

(Oh, yeah. I am ass-deep in cds, working on my compilation, so monkeys are still awaiting post. When I'm done I'm gonna love this cd so much that I may have to divorce my husband and marry it!)
